LBG24kg-27kgs but it was on
LBG24kg-27kgs but it was on an old set of scales, not calabrated, flangies-a fishing mate, was away at the time so only got to see the pics, been told that the pics dont do the fish any justice at all, scotto- he got it on a 200lb hand line, no fun in that, and fish this size can be caught in the river, its all about having a bait/lure in the right place at the right time.

yeh hard work, not fun, my idea of fun is a fish that size on 4-8kg mono, ya can use a handline like a drag system, just need a great set of gloves, ever seen a guy grab the trace of a grander marlin at the boat when it decides its not ready to be on the trace? now thats fun!

Not having a crack
Was just the first thing that came to mind
I like how it appears as if most of the bill fish and barramundi on here are released
I think the same should happen to mulloway

Good Mulla for you mate,
Good Mulla for you mate, They are pretty much stuffed & don't really release, we got a 22KG & an 18KG pair a couple of months back & they both tasted allright. That is a good fish but I reckon the scales may need checking Mikes 22KG was about as tall as Neil when he was holding it & that table doesn't look 6 foot in diameter.

Chuck a 10kg dumbell on the scales and see what it comes at, then use that calibration to see if the scales are dodgy. Does look every part of 27kg though

Easily 27kgs
Definately a good mully from the shore. As for eating, if they are bled straight away they taste pretty bloody good when cooked with egg and breadcrumb.

That is a huge mullorway
That is a huge mullorway anyone would be proiud to have caught , as for no fun fishing on a handline , its way for fun then on a rod at times , way more strength is needed and i catch majority of my fish on handline . I have fished 200 lb handlines and have had them snapped by who noes what . i think its great way to catch fish big or small poundage handline
