Cubed $13 worth of mulies only to be plagued by these stinking slimey horrible things that smashed all my plastics meant for pinkies. I didn't want to leave as I had a sick 100m+ burley slick. Ended up with only an oriental bonito which is a promising sign as I haven't heard of any in metro for years now

Yeh those are a different
Yeh those are a different species, Watsons Leaping Bonito, imo don't fight as hard as Orientals and you never see the Leaping as big as the Orientals

we were using bonito for burly up here and our problem was small reef sharks, brought 7 to the boat, kept 2 and had about 6 deep water releases,they were all a metre plus

no the nicest things to catch, but while fishing with whitey i got one on the jig, whitey showed the girls on the boat how good there teeth are!!
flatend out a ally can and placed it in its mouth....chomp...... perfect bite size chunck out of the can,
was a great way to show them not to stick fingers anywhere near the bitey end.
