Natural colours 2.5 - 3.5"s
Natural colours 2.5 - 3.5"s between 16H00 and 19H00 in the avo works best. If using colours I found that pienk, blue and green are by far the best. I have caught many squid on my tri colour jig and natural colour jig with fluoro eyes.

Shorebased, Yo zuri flash
Shorebased, Yo zuri flash dancer 3.25 In Pink yellow stripe or olive yellow stripe. Cannot beat that dart action, throws off alot of light and is great for covering ground. 3.25 size is decent size, saves me always swapping from 3.0 to 3.5.
Boat based and jetty based, Yo zuri Auri Q ace in any colour really.
Colour has never really been a big factor for me, i just have a couple of models that seem to be reliable so i stick to them. Otherwise i just like to contrast the weather conditions.

don't have a favourite size
don't have a favourite size type or colour. it depends on many factors as to what works best. so me of those include depth, current, wind, light, water clarity, time of day and also the squids personal preferance on the day. i do find orange as my 'go to colour' though.

as long as it's big and in pink or orange, don't need $25 jigs to bag out on squid up here. got 30 yesterday between two of us in 2 hours. cheapy bins are my preferred

daiwa emreldas in pink or orange hands down depending on wind either 2.5 or 3 but 3 seems to get the better size ones. jmo

Tsurikens are my favourite,
Tsurikens are my favourite, dark red preferably. The darker colours always are a winner. I disagree with the cheapy bin squid jigs, off a boat on a good day they work but any other time they are a waste of time. I have been out testing this theory a number of times and consistantly get better results on the more expensive jigs.

Are they ever going to fix
Are they ever going to fix the barbs on the Harmitsus ?
They are my favorite jig (2.5) but the barbs are the worse quality i have seen, the yo zuri barbs are 10 times the quality,,,
I saw a vid from Harmitsu on how to change them so i guess you are suppose to change them every so often, but my computer was stuffing up so did not see all the vid,,
Guessing you heat up the base of the barb to soften the glue maybe ?
But i have never seen spare barbs in the tackle stores tho,,

Shimano
I've been playing with Shimano's new squid jigs (Freo way) and they are slaying it. Heaps of sexy colours.
