World War III?

You don't hear much about what is really going on through main stream media, but....I reckon we are very close to having a World war. If USA doesn't back off then the shit will hit the fan. Russia was asked to help Syria, USA just rocked up and wants to control the area. All it will take is either a Russian jet or US jet to be shot down over Syria (both "teams" want to control a NO FLY zone)....then it's on. Scary times.

Yep, Russia continue to bullshit to the world and the US umpire is trying to make them accountable. Won't be long before a Russian plane paints a US jet with the radar and then it will be on.

If I was a betting man I'd put my money on Russia to kick some ass, having China to cover their back will help, however....NATO has just surrounded Russia with a very heavy millitary presence.....shits going down.
Lets hope Australia doesn't get involved...we probably already are though

Well the Chinese are already half way to America with their island bases in the Pacific. They will probably be the first target of a yank tactical nuke if things do go off. The Russian navy is broke and defunct and the Chinese don't really have a blue water navy "yet".

What country lets a foreign country buy it's most forward harbour to an area of potential conflict that's us.
What country lets a foreign country buy big tracts of its agricultural lands freehold, that's right its us again.
Now before a lot of people get up and tell me that the Chinese own only 2.3% of foreign held property in Australia I know that. But just look at the what their stake holdings are.
If you think that the Chinese are building those islands up in the south china sea for fishing lodges I think you need to think again.

From what I understand it is a severe sh*t fight over there and Eastern Europe.
The Turks are pissed as they have been backing ISIS and the other rebels who in turn were delivering up t 1500 trucks worth of Syrian oil to Turkey which was then on sold by the Edrogan clan on the black market which financed ISIS. Russia then came in and backed the Kurds (who are relatively tame and support a secular society and even women's rights), bombing the crap out of the trucks delivering the oil and cutting off weapons supply to the rebels (supported by Turkey and the US) to bolster the Syrian Goverment's efforts to retain power. Turkey and the US want old mate Bashar out, but Russia want him to stay. The Turks are now bombing the Kurds who have all but defeated ISIS.
To make it even more complicated, Russia's military drills this year in Eastern Europe revealed that they can cover ground at a speed not seen before and defend their position with tactical nukes (to make it impossible for a NATO ground force to retake position), really putting the wind up NATO and the US.
Now the US are bombing the Houthi's in Yemen who are supported by Iran and Putin and Obama are beating their chests like monkeys.

And Russia are stroking Turkeys ego too now, buying oil and to try and get them off side with the US, US have a big air base there at Incirlik. Russia would love to see them out of there. And I read somewhere last week Russia are getting friendly with Vietnam to give them a better position for their navy.

Ever seen the yanks war against anything besides energy..? look at this chart - Russia holds the largest gas reserves in the world, and all owned mostly by Gazcon, a sovreign company of the Russian government - thes ruskies dont report honestly like the rest of the world on GDP and income.. we survive on energy in Australia, and didnt even make the chart - imagine the magnitude of Russias resources - its all a "poor" show to mislead the superpowers, and the yanks know they are taking on a giant... I reckon the best course of action is to simply accept that communism is the only way forward (even though they've all given up on that concept) and that this is now our new way of life
