What species of fish?

Hey. My brother has just bought a small boat and we're heading out for the second time off Mindarie early tomorrow morning (weather permitting). We're not familiar with boat fishing in the area so we're going to hang near Quinns Rocks not too far out. Maybe near the reef. (We've always been land based.)
Can you tell me what species of fish we're likely to catch? Is there any advice you can give for fishing in the area?
Cheers

most likely to get into some
most likely to get into some skippy and wrasse near the reef . just got to burley up and bring the fish to you. just a silly question but. do you have a sounder on board? . another thing you can try is fishing the sandy areas for the tasty sand whiting.for the skippy i would be using a basic paternosta rig runnng 2/0 or 3/0 hooks as they will also allow a bigger fish as well. using strips of squid for bait. calafornian squid is best unless you can get fresh. for whiting use a 1/0 on the same rig using squid or from what i have been told ox heart is good as well. good luck

for the whiting
use a mustad bloodworm long shank in size 12 - head south from mindarie theres some good ground for sand whiting and ocaisional flathead and gummy - try drifting near the inshore reefs with squid jigs and anchor and berly for herring , skippy, snook, squid, gardies, and the ocaisional king george or silver bream - use size 12 long shanks for king george and bream and gardies but for the herring up size to a size 6 - best bait = peeled coral prawn
