what fishing tackle would you spend $200 on

Have my reasons behind this, but just putting it out there, what would you spend $200 on in a tackle store atm if someone was to hand you a free $200?

Tue, 2009-04-21 22:24

You would not get many at the prices they charge for release weights at tackle stores.  I could not believe the one I got was about $15, for some lead and wire.  It's a pitty when people have to overcharge with things like that.

it wouldnt matter

Wed, 2009-04-22 05:51

if they where $50 dollars.if you look at it this way you release a dhuie undersize one year and it survives you catch it 5 years later it will weigh 6/8 kg .you get 4 kg of fillets off it then its well paid for it self .just an example if you need to put a money value on it .I do it to ease my mind that i did everything possible to give my kids and their kids and so on a chance to catch a fish.I think they should be required by law on a boat used for fishing purposes .If you dont have one it should be a $15 dollar fine on the spot.Jmo

Im with Andrew one of those new Eupro's would be great for throwing lures from shore in Exmouth or Salmon when I get back. Would even have some change from the $200 for a couple of lures to go with it Smile

A free $200???

Tue, 2009-04-21 19:58

Well,, a carton of beer (if you sold them) and a couple of spools of top quality braid. No beer? OK then, I will chip in the rest for another Shimano 6500 Baitrunner. Then I will save up for the braid.
