What are the best fishing spots from the beach

I am new to fishing and would like to know what are the best spots to fish from the beach. I have tried Trigg and havent caught anything. Any tips would be much appreciated

cottesloe beach
ive been doing pretty well at reefy beaches near cottesloe with some good bream about 30cm plus a few good skippy,one went 36cm plus some herring and reef fish,have to use a berley cage with just berley for casting weight as its very snaggy ground,last 3 times got a good feed plus heaps of throw back undersize fish,all good fun

Nearmap or google earth help just try and find reef near by and deepish water or gutters which are pretty rare but scabs to trigg usually have some good options. otherwise north to yanchep and beyond.
