weather tuesday

Dear weather gurus - what is the call for early tuesday morning, was thinking that it should not be too bad and was going to head out wide, backup plan is head to the reefs between Freo and Rottnest - whats the call from the experienced boats - thanks

Yeah it has died down considerably from the weekend, I had a look at the ocean tonight and the swell looked like 1-1.5m.

We are giving it a crack also out wide

The swell between 12 and

Mon, 2008-09-15 21:22

The swell between 12 and 1.30pm was quite big.  The outer channel marker went from showing a meter of seaweed growth to just the top 6 inches of the white top tip showing, between the bottom and top of the swells.

Tomorrow looks good.

I'm going to try and match those yak boys with a few pinks from the sound tomorrow evening.

When you go fishing and you catch something, that's good. If you're making love and you catch something, that's bad.

Hey alfred isn't it closer

Hey alfred isn't it closer from east freo! LOL

Didn't see your post simon, but we can't fish that deep anyway as our sounder is pretty much unusable after 100m.

You have any luck?

Had a great day

Wed, 2008-09-17 06:35

We were back in by 1.00. Didn;t get to the Derwent - too far without perfect weather so sounded around out back of Rotto and found a massive school of Sambos and Yellowtail Kingies. Got our arms pulled of, lost a few jigs, then had a quick bottom bash for some skippy and pinkies and came back to go to work.

COuple of nice 20lb Kingies in the ice box will go nicely with some brews tonite!
