Twisties?
Submitted by jay_burgess on Thu, 2006-08-24 21:20
Would anyone be able to tell me the correct way to work the halco twisties? I'm keen to give them a shot next time I'm in Dampier and I've never used them before. The main target species will be queenfish and trevally. Thanks ;)

Use a quick retrieve, not
Use a quick retrieve, not flat out as the curves gives it the actions. You can also retrieve flat out on the surface to imitate fleeing bait fish.

slowly
Slowly across the shallow sandy bottom can work too.
Looks like a wounded fish kicking along the bottom .

[img_assist|fid=5882|thumb=0|alt=all caught on a black 70grm halco twisty]all the fish in pics were caught on a 70gm black halco twistie
the twisties are a good thing.ive had several great sessions catching trevs and queenies on them .i useually go wiyh the gold ones but as long as its shinnie i dont think it matters much .i caught my first cobia on a black 70gm twistie while chasing queen fish of the salt jetty in onslow and have also dropped them to the bottom of coral bay and jigged them to the surface catching small doggie macks and a hand full of golden trevs.i love em
cheers mitch
