trawler off hilliarys

i was out off hillarys 4pm fri to 10pm
there was a trwler prob 7 mile off shore onece it was dark it seemed to get closer
it was working with lighs blaring from the back
on sat morn i was out at 530am and it was still going
was gone when we got back from the fads at 4pm
out again 4am sun morning and also not there
any one know what the go is with that ?
cant belive someone would give him a licence to rape the ocean so close to a popular rec spot ?

out there from what i have been told.
So tell me have you got your info from years on the water or hours on the internet?

Ive seen it as well -scallop boat
there is still a licence north rotto and a couple more further south of rockingham i think.
hasnt been worked for a while as it was flogged hard.....returns didnt warrant the effort .......till recently
checked and there could be some whiting, herring, garfish coming in with the big scallops.

Out from Mindarie
I was about 8 nm west of Mindarie on Saturday. The Trawler came up from the south, east of our poistions, then headed west and started tracking west then east and then west again. Was around us until we left at 12 noon and was still heading west. This area I fishing nomally produces Ok but nothing this day. Now I know why.
