Travelling Rods

G'day all, with my going up to Dampier for work and after reading a few posts on my other thread about catching fish from the shore, what's a good strong rod to look at for taking up there and fishing 6- 8kg for jacks etc.

Cheers
Dale

Plenty of time to lob in a bait or 2 after day shift though Mick. What's my roster going to be if it's not 2 & 1? Will I be bumping into you somewhere too?

Cheers

Got suitable spinning reels

Sun, 2009-12-20 20:40

Got suitable spinning reels already and all the terminal tackle, just want a rod that wont take up much room on the plane etc. Probably spend a couple of hundred on a 2 piece something that wont break when all hell breaks loose. I've got good rods that would suit if I was to take any of them, but they are all 1 piece or 2 piece that separate right down at the grip, which leaves one section a bit too long.

Just reading on another thread and a mention about Daiwa Wilderness rods, they do a nice one in 3 piece, 7ft and 8-17lb, but I cant find anyone who sells them, on line any where in the world.
