Trailer parking

howmany of you have had someone hit your boat trailer while parked a the ramp.
Some nut hit mine yesterday, smashed one of the back lights and bent the frame the light is mounted on.....not too happy at all..
Seen this quite a few times when people pull into park there car and dont realise the trailer cuts the corner more without a boat on it. then go parks a few spaces further away so no one knows it was them.
Anyone else had these issues??

Had same happen to me down
Had same happen to me down at the East Freo Boat Ramp in june when going prawning. 1st prawn after the rains so there was hundreds of boats out.
Would of been nice if they left a note.
Probably the same idiot who put thier boat 20 meters in front of us right in the middle of the channel. The big 20,000 candle spotty in his face for 5 minutes got him to move.

At least you were parked,
At least you were parked, some assclown in a hot ute pulled into my turning space on a corner, and then beeped me? I was turning right and he came out half a car length across the white line and stopped?
I really really wanted to just drop it down a gear and use the trailer to take the nose off his ute =0

Fellow Boaty
Or was it some drop kick in just a car who did not care, this is the point I have been making about the boat/trailer parking at Hillarys marina,if you have boa ties, they generally are aware of the extra room needed to turn and park, but when you have dick She-its who just park their cars ,they dont give a toss.I have had a bit of a win at Hillarys, any car parked in the yellow boat trailer car park before 12midday will be fined,at least, thats what the over paid minister has written telling me,we will see if it helps this coming summer with the traffic there.Bad luck, for the trailer though Boddie, some old squid in the hubcaps of the offending car would have been nice

How about
Some moron leaving the ramp and leaning out of his window abusing someone else at the ramp, trouble was I was directly in front of him and he quite literally ran straight into the side of the new prado. He then reversed up saying he would get out of the way and promptly drove off. Yes I did get him eventually, got the boat name and a part rego, was he ever miffed when his phone rang several hours later with me on the other end. He thought, wrongly, that he had got away with it........I left it to my insurers to resolve directly as I would have punched his lights out
And he WAS a member of CPBA
just dhu it

There out there
Yep there idiots out there all in a rush to get fishin and little care taken when needed, i watched a poor innocent guy a few months back at Mindarie which is vert tight , he was retreiving his oversize shark cat trailer fromn the carpark when his cruiser moved out of the parking bay there wasnt enough room for his rig and big trailer to get around and his cruiser got caught up on a car infront of him, when he tried to reverse the trailer then ran into the car behind him. he was stuck until another of the damaged vehicles returned so he could manouvre out, hopefully he caught some fish.

The thing that makes me
The thing that makes me wonder, why is it so difficult to park a trailer straight, why do so many park at an angle, ah, I know why, its the big hurry to get out fishing, never mind or think about others. I have seen Woodmans Point ramp carpark,in such an abortionate mess, I have gone home without the boat getting wet. The other consideration, I reckon all trailer boaties, should have to get an endorsement on their drivers licence, saying they are capable of towing their rigs and know what to do in an emergency. I drove semi's around the Metro area, for over ten years and I saw some utter iditos when towing their boats. It just beggars belief at the antics I have seen. Anyway, whats the rush for?, the fish will still be there, when you get there, or get them the next time.
Jim.
fishing, that used to be free!!!!

Here is another one for you
Here is another one for you all!
Someone hit my boat out the front of my house last nite and cracked the foil off. Unfortunately they cracked the cast wings in the lower leg. No, they didn;t leave a note either.
What really busts my balls is that there is no car park behind the boat, just 4' to a while line and a driveway, so what the hell were they doing in there anyway?

Ahh I wish I could put mine
Ahh I wish I could put mine on the lawn. Council had rangers over in 4hrs when I put my boat on the verge. Its the first time they have ever done anything quickly.
I examined the foil, it has a rust mark on it, but no paint. No real giveaways there.
