sunbeam vacuum sealer

last year i purchased a sunbeam vac 660 for our fishing trip. i found that it would work on the automatic for 3 seals and then it would partially suck air and seal the bag, leaving air inside. i would have to rely on the manual pulse and seal for the rest of our fishing trip. I returned it and got a new one on warranty and found that it had the same problem.

Is there a problem with the new 660s or have i had 2 dud ones. I emailed sunbeam and they suggested that i let it rest for 1 minute after the first 2 seals and then 15 minutes after the 6th seal. Has anyone else experienced these problems.

Thanks.

i usually find it the actual seal on the machine warping ... dont just press the clip in to hold it shut - i actually push down on the lid to keep a good seal on mine ... also dont get too much water in the tray..  ... have a look at teh new stainless steel ones that just got released .. i got 5 into work yesterday and they look stronger and store a roll of bags in the machine for ease of use

Vacuum package your bait for away trips to stay fresh.

Vacuum package your opened bait and make your own with the bait you have caught to keep the Mrs happy

Vacuum your bread for trips away to keep it fresh.

Vacuum package your food for away trips which stays fresh with less refridgeration and some none at all.

Vaccum package your fish and keep it fresher longer. Well lots longer.
