Suggestions for beach/surf rods
Submitted by Loco on Tue, 2007-07-31 00:45
Hey peeps,
I'm looking at getting myself a new beach/surf rod. Would like something that's fairly light, yet strong and of course, the casting distance has to be good. (I know that it depends on technique as well) Any suggestions or recommendations? Though i must say that my budget isnt too big. Below $200. Thanks guys!

Try!
The Live Fibre (Trophy) or the Ozflex (Western Graphite), both are stand out rods to suit the required criteria!

I use a 10 foot shimano
I use a 10 foot shimano backbone elite, light, durable and 2 piece... however its overhead :P
Somehow I cant see you using anything smaller than a 7000 series Abu for it and me without foresight bought one....
And I dont see myself using the Abu for baitcasting on a smaller rod with 20lb braid... the only other application it would have would be on a boat but bah, I really dunno how good the 7000 series Abu's are for boat fishing heh
