Sub surface monitoring buoy

 

Just to probably remind people in yesterdy's west classified's theDPI are going to install a buoy 800mill wide 20 metres below the ocen surface of co ords 32'00.south and 115'25 East on the 19th of november for a period of four years , its 2 nautical mile off rottnest in a nw direction . Underwater FAD ?

Dont really know colin , I think tidal and current movements maybe but was a pretty piss poor effort by them in telling everyone the location , hate to be pulling up the anchor and have a float attached

Was meant to be on the surface but they either miscalculated the depth from the chart and made the rope/chain too short or tangled it up when they threw it over the side, so cheaper and easier to call it "sub surface" buoySurprised

 

Oh wait, they haven't put it out there yet...in that case they've intentionally made the rope to short in order to save a bit of money!
