Storing demersal jigs

Just wondering what most ppl have for storing there demersal jigs. By this i mean the ones that are a lil harder to fit into the normal fish shape jigbags....lucanus, submarines, pirates, fankys etc etc. Or just easier to purchase the standard hard plastic style containers.

Also i've heard of ppl storing all jigs (fish shaped..shout, searocks etc) rigged but without hooks to help with storage aswell as to not get hooked out on the ocean when getting them out on a bouncy boat. Do you mean rig them with the swivel and split? Then have a few assist's to ring's in tackle box ready to put straight to the split out there?

Less than two weeks for the demersal season opening, so excited to use all the good advice ive got off here and new jigs. Hoping by the next closure i can fulfill the dream of a big dhuie

Shabir

Have you had a look at the Shout jig washable container, by the looks it could serve the harder fit jigs quite well.

Jig Storage

Sat, 2010-12-04 17:53

That box is ok, but I store most of my jigs unrigged, so they're just going to bounce around in that. No point in keeping even a swivel on a stored jig. Over the day, I swap jigs on and off my split ring, and often reuse the same assist hook.

The Shout! Separates and the waterguard case II are the way to go IMHO.

If you want something a little different then check out the HPA Jig King, thats what I'm using.
