Rescue 4 from Denham has dropped them off at Shelter Bay and a securite warning put out warning shippng of a semi submerged dinghy offshore

Good to hear all are safe
Sunday times has a good article in it about just how things can change in a blink of an eye and before you know it you are in grave danger

Epirb
First heard of it through a phone call from Water Police, they still had my number from when involved with Shark Bay sea rescue telling me that they had an epirb going off from Steep Point area.
Great result, will ring a mate today and get more details

Full story
Bloke and 2 sons fishing from a kayak , one kid fell overboard and as they tried to get him back in they all ended up in the water. Luckily all wearing lifejackets, but from what I understand the fathers didn't work,. The kayak came back to the surface but they couldn't get to empty it , they activated their epirb.
They started off Monkey rock and finished outside Surf Point. A bloke on the shore spotted them and kept in touch with Shark Bay police while the rescue boat was coming. Just before dark he lost sight of them but was able to give a good estimate of their position when the boat arrived. H e told them to stay on same course for another 800 metres and you will find them, bang on! The search plane from Perth arrived on scene a few minutes later.
The trio were put ashore back in Shelter Bay, the kayak is still out there somewhere with fishing gear tangled all around it after they found it too difficult to retrieve it
Great effort by all involved, well done

Seriously though
it would want to be a HUGE kayak for 3 people to go fishing in the ocean ??
