Sherb's successful salmon search

After missing this year's northern salmon run, Sherbs recently took the opportunity to head down south to try his luck in the hope he might find some of these hard fighting fish still in residence.
Here are just a few of his captures.

This cracking salmon fell victim to Sherb's new Daiwa Heartland surf rod.

The Heartland loaded up with a good salmon.

Another nice salmon caught early in the morning.

Looks like the conditions were pretty nice at Sherb's secret southern spot.

After seeing all of Sherb's photos of big salmon and flathead it was nice to see this fish show up on my mobile phone.

That buff bream took 5 cast  to catch him, He was a pain in the ass taking my bait all the time

I soon put a stop to that

I got sick of catching salmon by day three,  But weather was to bad to fish the rocks

Must be nice to get sick of catching salmon

Mon, 2009-06-29 10:43

I had the same problem with a Buff Bream stealing my baits up in Kalbarri once. They can be a real pain in the neck.

That was a cracking flathead you got, just wish I could download the picture from my phone.

Some great pics there mate.

Good to see someone got into some salmon, they have been scarce compared to last year in the metro.

Hope you had a nice relaxing time.

Sky looks grey, then purple or something. The fish looks stunned. The rod looks like it could handle a whole lot more than you have given it. All in all mate... Go for it! Sheeash.. I so wish...
