Hi all . Got a shark out there today but not sure of species. Have caught them before.thinking whiskerie

Smell
i reckon I've caught quite a few of those but we always let go. Did it have a real bad ammonia smell?

the one we got had no smell
the one we got had no smell at all. mind you this one hit the deck , i hit it on the head , got a quick pick , head off guts out and hit the ice while the trunk was still twitching .
always gut and bleed straight away and clean out the blood line along the spine.
