Are you sure? I don't see
Are you sure? I don't see any dark tips on the pec fins and the second dorsal fin doesn't either and it looks way too high.

OK
They are ok to eat, the biggest one we caught would have been around what Russ has there

Cheers John. They are fun
Cheers John. They are fun on the end of a rod from shore. They go nuts once they hit the beach

I don't think it's a spot
I don't think it's a spot tail, no dark tips on pecs, second dorsal way too high and also located forward of the anal fin, pec fins aren't elongated enough and the snout is too pointy.
Based on the photo my money is still on a weasel shark except the only thing doubting that is that this shark looks like it has an interdorsal ridge which Weasels don't, everything else matches. Do you have a photo of the tail?
weasel shark characteristics that match
- small spiracle behind the eye
- all fins curved rear edge
- fairly large second dorsal fin
- second dorsal fin forward of anal fin
- lateral line
- 2nd dorsal thin darker tipped
- whiteish tinge to tips of dorsal and pec fins
