S.A. fishin mission

Hey team, I'm off to my home town (The South East of South Australia) tomorrow for a couple of weeks. Getting married there to my long time sweet heart. Also gunna get into some of my old favourite fishing spots while I’m there – Expect to get some Crays, Mulloway, Sharks, and Snapper.
Going to the Whitsunday’s for a few weeks honeymoon too, so should see some cool diving and fishing there (taking a modified 5’ barra rod (bait caster) and ABU 6500 in the suit case and a fist full of lures). Rod folds in half, she won’t know fishing’s on the plan till we get there!!!
Will post some pics when I return in 1 month.
Don’t catch them all while I’m gone!

Have a great time m8 and just remember. Marriage is like a game of snooker, if you cant sink the pink you can always go the brown. Have fun cant wait for the pics.
Keep it tight, reeeeeeel tight!

Likewise I'm flying off to Port Lincoln tomorrow (for work not marriage) and have somehow found my rod and reel and a few lures etc in my suitcase!!
I assume the pics your gunna post are of the fishn and not the honeymoon................
Cheers and best of luck

Travelling with rods
Don't know I'd be prepared to put the rod in the case even in a hard suitcase, I've seen how lugagge gets thrown around at the airport. I just nicked down to the hardware store and got a peice of 90mm storm pipe and putting fixed cap at one end and screw cap at other (to avoid my two peice becoming a four peice). Recommend lots of tape around the screw cap so some mutha doesn't pinch it too..
might be hard to sneak past the missus though. (Tell her its a dozen long stem red roses and go to the florist when you get there)..
Cheers

Congratulations Stingray
Its not every day you get to go fishing in locations like that.....
Oh and you said something about a wedding....while you were there.
Only kidding, have a great day and enjoy every minute of it. Fishing is a bonus.
Cheers

Update
Hello Troops,
Cheers for well wishes - my new wife has even read them and commented on how nice you guys are. Have managed a few Mulloway on my bucks night off the beach, but too small to keep (or take photo's of)
Got 4 nice crays in the middle of the day at Port MacDonald, and also 2 snapper off the beach at Port Mac one evening. My mate has some pics, so will post when he emails them to me.
In Brisbane airport, off to the witsundays now, so we'll see what is biting there!!
Cheers Jason
