Walked into the fishing shops here in Singapore this afternoon and got blown away with the fishing tackle available!
Blue Rose PE 6 - combination of chopstick and helium filled balloon. Very thin and light. Very, very nice!
Stella 8000PG ooooh so smooth!
Twin Power 8000PG inexpensive Stella?
Carpenter rods? Nice!
Large range of jigs. Jigging is starting to catch on here.
etc, etc, etc.....
Easy to blow away a couple of months pay here.
On way to Kota Kinabalu tomorrow and just found out that it is a great place to fish. Will try to wet a line there.

Resist? What do you mean resist?? Just have to time the arrival back to Perth so that the wife and kids are still sleeping, so everything can be moved quitely into the shed!

I stopped fishing about that
I stopped fishing about that time, so going into the shops and seeing all the jigging stuff for the first time was new to me. They didn't have that much stuff back then! Lures yes, but jigs, not that I remember. Pulled the hand brake before going overboard!
Wish it was a holiday!
Am in KK now and checked out the charters, but I will not be able to get on before the boat leaves due to work and I leave on Friday - sigh. The pictures here show only big fish - all over 50kg!!!!!

Kota Kinabalu is awesome, spent three days there nearly 8 years ago now, the islands are awesome. The Indonesian trawlers aren't thou. :(
