rod and reel recomendations

hi all fw members,
im getting a rod for my bday around the $200 dollar mark its something small for hillarys for lures . i have a faint idea im thinking under the line of a 2 to 4 kg and a 1000 reel with some 8pound braid
im just not sure wat rod and reel bran to get i like the shimano stuff and also wen would u use a 6 to 8 kg rod?

sonora 1000 on a starlo stix or a rack raider mate not a bad option, or a pflueger combo isnt a bad one 2 look at they do some nice rods in the trion range.

For the reel a good cheap
For the reel a good cheap option is the Penn affinity I got a 1000 size not long ago for my 2-4kg stik and it's awsome was about 120 bux
