Hey guys! I'm new here and I'm thinking of getting into some swan river fishing!!
As I'm only 17 I can't drive and mum is hardly willing to take me anywhere too far away, like como or guildford I was thinking about going down to riverton bridge and have a crack at some late season bream, any tip or hints? I know it's not the best place to go but I'm really limited to where I can go :)

Nuh there are some
Nuh there are some reasonable fish down there if you cast lures along the shore (shelley side) particularly around that rocky cutting about 300m upstream of the bridge as the river turns west

Are you using bait or lures,
Are you using bait or lures, I fish with my kids a fair bit down there and we have always had more success with mullet strips over any thing else there, also try the bank where the little fence starts as your walking towards the leach hwy bridge, 8 casts resulted in 2 fish in the high 30s there last time I was there.

bream
hey, there are quite a few bream up that area at this time of year, chuck some baits or hardbodies up around the flats on these winter high tides and you will be sure to get a few ;)
the fish are a bit more concentrated around the lower parts of the swan at this time of year if you can get your mum to take you anywhere.
looking forward to the report
cheers, Tom

If you're going in the day
If you're going in the day time grab one of the ecogear SX40F, you will get hits almost every cast if there is fish around
