Hey all.
So I've been surfing the tackle websites looking for a new combo to fish for tailor and salmon in the future.
I've looking at the Seagate 3500 or the Stradic 4000/5000. I can't seem to find any specs on the seagate could anyone with the reel please list some up?
Ive been thinking about matching one of those reels with a Daiwa Sea jigger 10ft. Would this be a good combo? Thinking of running 20lb braid.
Cheers danno

I can't reccommend the Seagate, had a few back in only months after being sold, they don't seem to be able to handle much hard work. I'd look at the Stradic 5000.

Stradic Ci4 don't cost much
Stradic Ci4 don't cost much more in the 4000 size could hold a fair amount of line, 250m of 20lb.

Check out the big fish video
Check out the big fish video I've posted in the videos section. I stopped that big Groper with a seagte 3500 and 30 lb braid. Hard to say but I reckon it was about 150 kilos. Gotta be a strong reel to do that. They are the next step up from a saltist so are a quality reel. I can't fault mine to date and have had a number of stradics in the past. A great performing reel the Stradic but not too good in the salt if you have an open boat. The wife caught a 25 plus kilo GT on a 5000FH.
My vote is for the seagate but you won't go wrong with the Stradic 5000.
