howdy all
im going to be in headland next week for an overnight stay.just wanted to know wheres a good spot to wet a line .im only there for one night and will have my wife and two boys with me.any ideas would be great

I won't take offence that you can't spell our lovely town. I take it you are shore fishing? If that is the case, try the spoil bank opposite the hospital. 6 mile is good for crabbing. If you have a boat, 1km South of 23 marker and you will always get fish. Good for kids. Best of luck.

whats the go there fish wise and tide .will i be able to throw a cast net for livies

Hey Mitch
Try thrownetting up the far end of the spoilbank ,it used to be all right when i lived there.Be careful of the full tide as most of the spoilbank can get covered on big tides.Threadfin salmon used to run down the harbour side and the occasional mackie on the incoming tide.

got back from hedland
i did have a look at spoil bank .the wind was up a bit so didnt bother .still it looks fishy
