Pinkies in the Sound

I have heard the pinkies have been in the sound lately. Went out on friday night for them but the anchor rope got sliced by braid on a big first run from something so had to leave. Can anyone point me in the right direction for pinkies, i was thinking in between garden and carnac but if anyone has caught any lately and is willing to tell where would be greatly apreciated

was out there thurs night

was out there thurs night and started at the D9 and worked back to woodies. Found plenty of fish on the sounder at D9 but couldn't get the burly down there. We had herring and small skippy jumping out of the water in the burley trail.

Will be out there again this week but i think best chance is between the 2 islands at the moment or even out in the 5 fathom off the back of a bommie.

Hope to see them soon.

Fireline

Seen an average size mack hooked on fireline cut through an anchor rope quite easily. This was well into the fight as well when a bit of the sting had gone out of the fish.

Not really

Was a guy fishing next to us up at Coral Bay. He was having trouble finding fish so we invited him over to fish next to us (in our berley trail).

they certainly are there. If you move around a bit you'll find them.
I'd tell you my spots but I'd have to kill ya (joke)
If you're unsure the best i can offer is fishing along side the shipping channel
where it drops off and burleying up (drive up and down it for best spots) - just in case you don't know, you aren't allowed to achor inside the shipping channel.

cheers for the help and i think the thing that sliced the rope would have been a big ray because it was a blustering first run

Work is just for people who havn't discovered fishing
