Pinkie drought hammered
With tuesday night being so calm Sandy and i decided its too nice to sit in front of the tv.
We headed out to our pubkie spot around 6:30 and got lines in the water waiting for sunset. Hardly a breath of wind at all. It was all quiet until about 8:30 when a line started screaming big time. I grabed the rod and the fight was on with a number of screaming runs peeling the line off like it was in freespool and about 1/2 an hour a nice size hammer came boatside and gaffed later weighing in (gutted) 20kg. Not too long after another line took off. The old sigma shakespear real was getting an almighty workout not ro mention me. This time there was no slowing it down and afteer about 150 mtrs of line was peeled off the knot at the swivel had busted .
At about 9 the sounder started showing fish underneath and with a jiggle of the burley bag and a few minuits Sandy was on with a punkie that came in at 6 1/2 kg . It went quiet for a while and then the tip of another rod started to bounce . I grabbed the rod and it loaded up with some massivevheadshakes. In about 5 minuits i had my first shallow water pinkie in the net . Ended up at 870 long and 71/4kg. To say i was happy was an understatement. At that stage all went quiet with only a fiddler comming up. Another successful night out.

Seems like you
Have that spot figured out ! Have you caught anything off it during the day like yellowtail kingfish. You'll get a few fillets of that haul.
