Pink Snapper On Fly.

G'day,
Wondering if any members on here have had any experience with catching pinks on fly?
Just after a bit of info in regards to what setups you have run...Got another trip planned later in the year up in Shark Bay and thinking of mixing things up a bit and targeting them on the wand.
Cheers,
Sexton.

Ive never targeted Snaps on
Ive never targeted Snaps on the wand , but it shouldn't be too difficult when they are on, Full sinking line maybe a weighted fly as well and strip it through some burley..Have the wand ready to go and whip it out when the opportunity arises is the best way.

yeeeoow!!!
oh yeah! Apart from drift baiting in 10ft of water fly fishing for em in supershallows even better!
6-8 wt setup to have sum fun. Pink things n basically any baitfishimitation fly will nail em!
Just make sure youve got a good stock of flys cos when you get bricked enough you startlosing flies!
It'll be the best fun you've had!!

Cheers for the replies
Cheers for the replies fellas!
Matt, yeah I've already spoken to him.
Tangles, how would the 8wt go up against them? The water I'm fishing is quite shallow, I'd say the deepest part would be 6-7m at the most and averaging around 3m deep. The pinks average around the 70cm-80cm mark.

easy
easy. Thats all I use. And im usually in 10-12ft of water fishn gutters inbetween ledges. Get bricked on a few but when your that shallow its a matter of luck whether the pink goes left to the reef or right out into the sand! A good honest fight on lightish gear but good fun. You could use heavier gear but better on lighter stuff. Tie your own flies even more rewarding on the hookups
