Pinaroo point (please comment)

Hey had a paddle around Pinnaroo point cuple days ago so i stopped paddling and starting to swim wit my goggles on i saw lots of school whiting in the area so would anything be LURKINNG arouuund like flathead
there is also really good sandbanks on a rising tide so wonder if Bait,hard body lures or soft plastics would be the best?
and types of fishing bait or soft plastics or hard body lure makes would be nice
one last thing
when would be a good time to go dowm

I fish it a lot during the
I fish it a lot during the summer months for tailor. most nights produce good fish with last year i landed 2 at 60cm plus but most average the 35 to 50cm range. Bait casting mulies works but i find gangs of two 3/0's and half a mulie works best around there. theres always bait schools around which keep the tailor hanging close by. i have seen some soapies up to 3kg caught off there as well but never got one myself. At night though keep your bait slowing moving or off the bottom as crabs drive you nuts.

its been terrible at hillaries lately
i had a cast with a mulie after i went out on my boat last sunday and got a skippy but thats it,, every time i have gone i have only got a couple whiting and stuff
herring are unheard of there atm
its scary how scarce they are
