getting the bottom line final answer from a bunch of blokes that use false names and put smiley faces at the end of paragraphs is not the best place in the world to get the information you seek.

permatrim
i have had several of similar units on my boats , i dont believe that you should need them on a forward control as your weight is forward, i have used one on my present Alli centre console which is rear end heavy and the trim plate lifts the rear end quickly when coming up to the plane, although the down side is when your up and running it tends to throw the bow down when coming home in a following sea and makes the ride uncomfortable, theres good and bad points , i have installed QL trim tabs 8 x the cost but at least they are fully adjustable

Had one on an old boat of mine
I put one on a Signature 650f that I had prior to repowering the boat.
I reckon everyboat is different, but in my case it worked well, held the plane alot better (slower revs) and got up out of the hole quicker and being thick 8mm ally it acted as a good step. I did sit and look at it though for about 2 weeks before I could bring myself to drill the 8 or so holes on the cav plate of the motor. I think trim tabs would have a similar but more dramatic effect, but if your budget dosent allow that, the permatrims are an option.
