its all yours Qaudfisher....ours were all caught on very light tackle, took ages to land and a new rig had to be made every time...the 1st one that got hooked, my old man thought he was onto a winner....there, 'nough said about the whole episode.
lost a whole heap of rigs under the garden island causeway and couldnt figure out what was going on, then a mate brought up one of those ugly bastards, just before it bit straight through the hook. That was last week

brave man ,brave man indeed
to start a thread on blowies, even the trophy ones.
got one a couple of years ago, whilst trolling for macks off perth.
not unusual except it took a 160mm halco deep diver (3 trebles) that far down only the steel trace was visible,
at about 6-7 knots!
the result was not pretty ( small children look away) but true to form ,on release the oversize blurter ( close to a metre)
swam off like nothing was up.
my theory is god is a norwester and cannot be killed.
there iv'e said it.
I have now hijacked this thread and encourage a outporing of blowfish emotion and therapy,
no nasty stuff, after all its for your own good.

I've landed 3 in the past
I've landed 3 in the past week all just over 85cm. On 50lb LB gear, they come up pretty quick, but just a bloody waste of live bait
