nor west blowie at hilarys?

was fishing hilarys today with liam (Son of Irish) and had a whole scalie out on the big rod and landed a nor west blowie...
is it normal to catch em this far south?

nah tommo, real quiet today just afew whiting and undersize skippy
and i think someone caught a yellowtail

Girlfriend and husband went out, caught a 6kg bolt cutter, thought it was dead, trying to retrieve hook, bit the tip off of her finger, hubbie uses steel traces in Leeman when out fishing especially cray season.

plenty out there, had heaps at two rocks one day too,bloody annoying things when you hook them up and think you have a decent fish on

eh reuben. went home at
eh reuben. went home at about 4.30ish cos it was real slow and i was really sunburnt. didnt get much more only a few more whiting but nothing reall big. i spent a heap of time at home cleaning my stuff cos of the mullet and scalies stunk out my Buckets and the esky. finally got around to washing down my rods and reels. (ps. were do u get that dust remover crap?)

Southern Nor'westers!
My son and I got one while slow trolling a bibbed minnow for tailor and pike over the weed beds in Geographe Bay a couple years ago. We saw the silvery flash and thought we had a monster of a tailor! I suppose we were lucky it didn't bite the lure in half...

um liam we didnt go out far because my step dad wanted to have a dive so we went near a reef, i hooked up to two rays and 1 small shark and we got some skippy and all the other rubbish like wrasse. the one ray was small and i got it on my whiting rig and i was like oh dear god
and i had it for a few minutes then got busted off.
second ray was friggin MASSIVE, i got it on a whole mulie ganged using my baitcaster (corvalus) and it took off almost spooled me then i managed to get it to drop the hook....so lucky. and i lost the shark to the reef but yeah all in all not a bad day out. wen we got bak i wanted to use the rest of that bait so was chuckin out ganged mulies off the disabled platform and i got a couple size skippy

yeah not bad........ at least u managed to get the hooks back.... i lost all mine on rays up at mindarie. between 3 of us we hooked up to 5 stingies. Us- 2 Stingrays-3. got one good skippy but a friggin cormorant attacked me and stole my skippy and my hook
