thats a real big piss off
thats a real big piss off when they set a drift on your same line real close let alone drifting so close when your on anchor. unfortunately you probably wont get any fish there again in a hurry as he will probably clean them out.unfortunately there isnt much you can do about it (legally)

Fishfinger I think we all hear you
And this is not the first or the last time time this will discussed on this or other fishing site. What is a fair and reasonable distance? This has also been done many times, as has who owns the ocean. Maybe all fishing boats should have radar so you can ping everyone's position in the vicinity from a distance without them getting upset, and no I don't have radar.
It's consideration, something that seems to be lacking in today's world.

not just concideration its
not just concideration its also respect, i for one would not go over to a boat and fish near it let alone pull up along side and ask how their going unless it was someone i knew.

Just one consideration
As I have been diving/fishing a long time as do my mates we all have spots/ground we think is our special secret but with gps use and more people going out it is only a matter of time before those secrets are known to all,I have dive spots that 10 years ago no-one went too now at least 6 other boats go there,we do not own the ocean, but I feel a certain politeness is needed,eg,if a boats on what you think is your spot,go else were, but not as some do,and drop on top of you as above, jersey

A few years ago a certain
A few years ago a certain charter boat, the real big one, came along and just muscled his way ontop of me. Now I am in a 17.2ft, flat seas, no drift in 100m on a small lump...and yet another charter operater was just the nicest bloke out there.
There is alot of aggresive ppl on the water these days, which is a shame. Now if I am coming over, its just to say hello and be polite, not to ping 'your' spot, but is it really worth it these days, just to be abused and accused? The ocean is just too big to be fishing ontop of each other.
