New Gulp what should i use them on.

Hey just had my 12 bday and got a new rod and also some new Gulp lures just wondering if anyone knows what i could use them for?

Only prob with those gulps
Only prob with those gulps is that theyre quite expensive but i spose you do get alot of them compared to other lures.

They are all great for bream
They are all great for bream and flatty's etc, but the blowies will smash them to bits around town, if you fish in the river above ascot you shouldn't have any trouble, otherwise they will be good for whiting, herring etc in the ocean. Do you have any jig heads to rig them on?

there a lot of different soft plastics on the market but in my opinion you cant beat gulps, so catching a few fish on them shouldnt be a problem.
the 6 and 7cm minnows are a particular favorite of mine and ive caught everything from herring to blue bone to flat head and tailor on them, as a few people have already mentioned the worms are good for whiting esspecially bigger sandies (school) and yellow fin. You dont need to put the whole worm on the jig head you can cut it into 3 peices and have three little worms. Just remember that whiting only have a small mouth and tend to suck at the bait so use a really small hook, somthing like a 6 or 8 size.
i have also done really well for the witing using the gulp worms just cut into little peices and fished just like bait.
with the minnows you can go up in hook size and jig head weight, as you will be more likely to encounter bigger species like tailor, herring and flat head. try and get down to you local beaches and marinas in the mornings when thiers less swell and wind, this will be the eaisiest time to fish the smaller plastics. there will also be a lot less blowies than in the swan. You could even improve your chances buy taking a bag of burley (pollard) and throwing some about as to get the fish a bit more excited if its a bit quiet and till you get the hang of where to find them.
when your using the SP's (soft plastics) dont just rip them in like a lure imagine that the SP is a hurt or injured fish use a twitching motion and dont be afraid to let it drop right to bottom and then twitch it up again.
try and stick with it if you can because the fish will come, and theres nothing more satisfying than catching a fish on a lure.....here's some inspiration for ya!
