Are they really that
Are they really that interesting though? Nothing jigging-targeted, no narrow versions. Personally I think that Daiwa missed the boat as badly on these as they did on the Daiwa Saltist Lever Drag series.

Really? What about them?
Really? What about them? They look nothing like the Alutecnos Gorilla reels to me, they're not rounded, to make them more palmable, they don;t have the drag preset on the opposite site, they don't have a push button for overstrike, they don't have round handles, the gearbox doesn't hang out and down.

Shimano Talica. I have a
Shimano Talica. I have a Torsa and it is aweome. It is a machine and will stop the sharks fine but I find it has a bit of torque wobble with the weight plus the asymetry of it. The Talica is lighter and more balanced plus offers a great drag.
My brother now has the Torsa and I almost exclusively fish threadlines for offshore work now. If I was to go back to an overhead it would be a Saltiga or Talica and I'd have to toss a coin for that. My wife has a Saltiga 30T and it is one sweet reel.

I have a Shimano TAC8 single
I have a Shimano TAC8 single speed and i like it, i also have an accurate bx600 that i hope to use to put some hurt on the sambos this year as well. Alutecnos 12c has a solid following and they have some new smaller reels as well.
