Montes/Exmouth May 2011
Submitted by SamC on Tue, 2011-05-24 16:17
Hey Guys,
Just returned from a week up at the Montes/Exmouth. Had a ball with a big diverse range of species coming in on the jigs. Spaniards and Asstd trevs on the stickbaits :)Only got a small pop in for the week, which was a bit dissapointing, hard with a lot of diehard bottom bashing punters on board.
What a place! I want to head back there ASAP..
Here's a couple of pics from the trip, enjoy!
Cheers,
Sam

Shane,For the jigs the
Shane,
For the jigs the standout was clearly the Sevenseas Hooker 160g, others that did well were IMA Ro's 120g and Daiwa Sacrifice Leafs 160g
Maria Bullchops, Shimano Ocea's, Yambal Diners and Megabass Dog-X were successfull stickbaits for me.
McArthy softies didnt last long on the bottom out there, anything from 5-8" was working, in pearl and pink/pearl.
Colours were important as Blue/Pink or Pink/Silver were the jigs colour of choice.
Have a good trip mate, youll love it

Sam
