Went to Floreat in the weeks

Went to Floreat in the weeks leading up to Christmas and landed a few.

Have been away and am keen to give Floreat a go again. Have they gone off the bite there? What time of the day have you been trying?

Cheers

are rigging up right

Thu, 2010-01-14 11:42

are you rigging up right dont just try the hyped spots, youve only tried 2 spots and already complaining, sometimes its not that easy sometimes it it

havent been myself but people on FW have had some pictures of some nice north mole tailor caught at dusk,

heres a proven rig, get a one of those small but very strong snap swivel and clip onto a gang of three and a whole mulie, this is mainly a more calm weather rig for baitcasting

north mole

been going to NM regular for our tailor get some big ones 40cm+ .... 3 gang with a treble unweighted was the best but i find once you get near the rock if something whacks the bait it most likely to be snook

na im usually out there

Thu, 2010-01-14 16:58

na im usually out there maybe 3 arvos/nights a week and thursday mornings.

just lately over the past 3 weeks i found it a bit quiet and thought i'd see where others are catching.  im gonna be heading out again in about an hour and half see how i go.

yea if weather conditions are good im usually going on an unweighted mulie with 3 gangs but tonight its about 17 knots or so, so most likely head down to north mole give it a try with bit of weight.
