Heading up to the Mackies in early Sept. Haven't been there before, probably chase a few bottom fish and then go for some Mackies Tuna GT's etc
Any hints would be great.
Cheers

just got back from there
just got back from there last week. bottom fishing was awsome got our quota in 5 or so days and usually only fishing half days then haven a dive in the arvo! wasnt many macky around wen i was there but i would suggest if ur chasing mackie to go on the top of spring tides as i have allways done alot better for them then instead of neap tides! but i find the springs arent allways the best for bottom fish as holding the bottom can get difficult specially if ur fishin shallow water stuff! but theres some off the info i could give ya but other than that its awsome spot u will love it! just watch the westerlys if they blow up u will be stuck there not alot of protection from the wind!
