Lowrance Warranty

I have bought my new HDS 10 from a certified dealer with receipts, however am having it inistalled by a friend, who is a marine mech in his day job but is coming around to help me install at home saving considerable dollars. In the event of a failure of the unit (which i hope never happens) does the install affect a warranty claim?

In short no it won't unless it relates directly to the install job. I think you'll be right.

awesome. I didnt think so. As i said the guy whos installing it knows what hes doing. Seems the only thing that can affect it is having a proof of purchase from a certified dealer. Which i do have. Cheers Paul.

Warranty
I installed my HDS10, after nearly 2 years, I took it back to Chivers Marine, cause there was a couple of little things wrong with it. They sent it back to Lowrance and in about 2 weeks, they gave me a brand new HDS10 Gen 2 -All covered under warranty. I don't think you'll have a problem.
