anyone out there have the new lowrance hds5x thinking of buying one can pick one up for under 1k.
have read alot about them but cant find anyone that has used one yet.
any help would great

wondering the same before i buy a new sounder myself, they seem the goods but without sound advice i dont think i would lash out the cash for one,though if good reports come thru then it might be considered

ive had the raymarine a65
hd sounder since it first came out.you need to learn to read what your looking at because it takes out the clutter it shows what seams like less fish.the fish it shows are fish that are there if you get my drift.i find that i use my furuno less and less for shallow work.hd is fantastic.
So tell me have you got your info from years on the water or hours on the internet?

ive recently purchased
the lowrance gps unit and its great and just about to get the new broadband sounder they seem really good but as yet havnt seen one in action but im pretty confident it will perform nicely especially now they have bottom lock etc.

I have broadband on my 112 lawrance I dont think its worth the $800
but the new HD Lowrance's look great nice pic's
I do love my lowrance tho I think there are a great unit and I would buy them again

I have a 112 lowrance as well, great unit and I was thinking of putting on the broadbad adaptor? is that what you got? so you say it's not worth it? can you send us some image snaps to show the difference you getting

I will take some pics of the sounder next time I head out and PM them to you.
I dont know if I am expecting to much out of the broadbad adaptor but for $800. I thought it would be alot better on the bottom.
