Tailor
Ive seen 4x4 on the beach but not sure were they get on the beach.
When i fish there i just use a gang with a heavier leader and no wieght.
There is a lot of tailor around there at the moment.
Mate of mine went last week and cleaned up.
good luck!

Port kennedy drive
drive all the way down port kennedy drive towards kennedy bay resort it turns to sand at the end
then down the track as far as you can go(4x4) onto the beach turn left on the beach and keep going until you round the corner but dont go too far or you could get a ticket from the ranger as vehicles are not allowed on the beach at golden bay ( there was a sign telling you not to go past)
the beach can be soft at times so lower your tyre pressure or it could be a long night!
To all the virgins..............Thanks for nothing!

exactly
there is a track just befor the carpark turn off follow the track right round you wil see the track and it puts you out onto the south side head south a lil. i was baitcasting and getting nailed as soon as it hit the water, my bro and dad were bottom fishing and still getting them just as much. usually the sea breeze kills the baitcasting scene but this week looks good for it. might go back down again soon.

As far as I am aware
As far as I am aware all 4x4 driving on the beach weather or not you go as far as golden bay is restricted and you will be fined if caught by the ranger. Best check for your own peice of mind, as for many years now this has been the case in rockingham!

I own a hilux 4x4 but have
I own a hilux 4x4 but have never been on the tracks there to fish on the south side. I always just fish the north side for 2 reasons:
1. Not sure if it's legal to drive on the beach. Been there a few times and theres security blocking off the track entrance. But been there other times and see and hear 4Wds all night long.
2. Don't have much 4WD experience and would hate to get stuck....
Due to the bulk people that fish the north side with easier access, 30cm+ tailor are few and far between, you occasionally get good solid half hour blocks of choppers on the bite, but few keepers. Sounds like the south side is the way to go.
Maybe a Fishwrecked tailor night is in order at the south side of long point.....

yeah
yeah the north side has lots of choppers for sure and blowies havent had one blowie yet on the south side. and also mate as long as you stick to the tracks and take it easy the south side atm is pretty hard. couple of bogs but kep the power on and your right. i use to take my hilux down there. im gettign round in a nissan terrano and it does it nicely.
