The Rottnest deepwater graveyard

In the Wild West Lecture - S1 2011

Jeremy Green, Head of Maritime Archaeology

12.30pm, Friday 11 March, WA Museum - Perth › [Book Online Now]

The Rottnest Deepwater Graveyard has been used for the last 75 years to dispose of old unwanted ships, aircraft, munitions and military vehicles. Find out about the 80-100m deep site West of Rottnest, and the aerial surveys, technical diving and remotely operated vehicles (ROV’s) that have been revealing more about the area.

I know some of the techincal deep divers using trimix and rebreathers have been mapping out the wrecks and getting some top under water footage. Hope they going to present that as well.

I may just have to book that one

Hi all

I just went through the process of registering more reason was to get the email address of Jeremy Green, so I could invite him down to our club and do a presentation since the lecture was booked out.  Well to my surprise I got a confirmation of a seat for the lecture.  So my recommendation is... have another go if you are interested.

Mind you watch this space because i will be following up Jeremy and the museum about the possibilty of another presentation.

Cheers Rhyss
