Lead Ban in USA

Hi all, did a search on this site and couldn't find any discussion Re. attached website.
Unfortunately work commitments have given me limited opportunities to get on this site these days but this is what is happening in the USA and I'd like your thoughts on whether you think it could happen here etc.

They are already using pig
They are already using pig iron for snapper sinkers here because scrap lead is getting too expencive and hard to find.

Use old spark plugs
Use old spark plugs ............. never done it myself but I have a auto mechanic mate who reckons they are spot on in snaggy country
