Last weekend Karratha fishing! How did anyone go?
Submitted by crasny1 on Mon, 2009-09-28 19:23
Went out twice and got a "little" feed on Friday. Bloody windy. Sunday pm when the wind was to dropped NAFA (not a fishers asshole). Gillian manged a ROCK fish that appeared to fight well, current seem to do that, but it will be displayed in the garden because it is rather nice. I offered to fillet it but she said that not even Ryan expensive knife sharpener could resharpen the knife after that.
But one of our friends just bought a boat and got a beauty bluebone on spinner crabs. He has a photo to prove it and I have invited him to join and brag.
Hope he does

Sheldon, Going well mate
Love your photos and I dont think a photos of the rock is worth it. Might have to put some red, green and yellow lights around, and photoshop it, but I am crap at that.
Hows the south?

Took new boat out
stayed out Sunday night up flying foam, ended up with a mixed bag ,two trout and a couple of cod and emporer. The wind stuffed us around changing from northerly to southerly during the night which made the anchorage shit. There was a 10foot hammerhead under us for most of the night, certain kept me out of the water.\\

There are two types of people ,do'ers and watchers
Right now the do'ers are the doing it
And the watchers are watching us do it

exxy
Went out in Exxy today, nice conditions, had to work bloody hard for 3 spanglies - no billfish. One of the quietest days out I've had in ages, must have been a black day on the almanac.

Went out 2 weeks ago when was similar, and have learnt my lesson after that. Made it out and back but was pretty average coming back across the bay. Hopefully this weekend will be better.

I must be mad then
I am sure it was black but dont look at that calender, otherwise you go out with a negative attitude at the start. Best to go out with optimism and come back empty. Makes for a more enjoyable fish. Gillian looks at it but never tells me until after.
Yes Jay, lets hope, but some of the long term charts I have seen dont look that flash (incl Woodside). What do you look at.
Who said I didnt get drunk Craig? LOL
