Karratha Shorebased

gday,
heading up to karratha for a week in october...i will have a boat up there but i wanna do shorebased aswell!
will mostly be chucking poppers (e.g yozuri 3D's, lil roosta and dumbells) and i wanna throw around some softies aswell manly 5'' snapbacks and 3 1/4 gold glitter paddle tails.
any idea on where to do this? around point sampson any good? or dampier?
also what fish will i get at these places? wanna chase queenies, spanglies etc...

I'd say go out to point
I'd say go out to point samson for shore based fishing... that's where I do most of my land based, not that I don't think Dampier is as good just don't know as many spots there.
Try the causeway for the softplastic fishing, small GT's, mangrove jacks, queenies. There's a natural rock groyne out from the mouth of sams creek which is good for heavy popper chucking.
