Gday,
heading up there that time myself but will be mostly boat!
shorebashing that time of year is good, nice warm water!
Sambo's up to 30kg from the main town jetty...200lb handline dead tailor bait, is always fun just hold on!
Plenty of tailor around the marina and jetty aswell as island point...typical tailor rigs, but lightest sinker as possible to suit conditions, bait cast would be perfect!
Some wicked skippy from the marina! blue/white bait or half mulies on small gangs lightly/not weighted at all!
Mulloway from marina, jetty's and hill river! live tailor, tailor fillets, mulies etc etc for them. Snell some 6/0 occy hooks with a running sinker (make sure its running so the fish can't feel the weight).
hope that helps cobba..
cheers
