ive only been a member a few weeks now (about the same time i got broad band hahaha) and from what i have read you have the knowledge of an old salty dog... or you have read too many magazines. Surely you will be having a fish over the break?
No, no, it might just appear that way cause I post more than a lot of salty dogs who have a lot more knowledge than me. I just like posting up when I can help (or try to help at least). Pick anyone with more than a 100 posts and they'll probably know more than me (just post less!)
I agree with ya pilbara too many people sit back but the young hlokk always has something to offer on most occasions... the very reason why i ask him what he is up to. I'm accually interested
Has a lot more patience than I do with this jigging lark - mind you I have had some success on big redfin and prefer that method to all others - Pity I cannot find any more pumpkin and red. gold fleck worms nor those sp hooks with the triangular shaped leads that keep the hook point facing away from the snags so he has even managed a convert if only to freshwater - now for King Salmon and Sturgeon in July.
Joe M it does appear in your text as a dig. That IMO is the problem with email, post etc comms when you arent face to face. The other person cant SEE your emotion. That is why we should be careful about posting because the one on the other side might see it not the way you meant, and trust me that can open up a can of worms. Personal questions like that on a forum is best delivered as a PM. Then you are asking a one on one and not let the whole tribe into it.
It felt as a dig to me, JMO. But then that is what it is JMO.
Matt is probably like me, loves sharing knowledge.
Not that I by any stretch know as much as others, but when a question is posted post your view. That is what a forum is about. Just my pinch of salt worth and not picking on anyone, especially Matt, because unlike others on here (me included) he does try and help, and get his story across. And that is why I keep coming back.
Jokes aside, respect for them both. They have forgotten more than I will ever know about fishing, and are not afraid to have an opinion or throw out some help.
Before i joined the site i sidelined for a fair while . i found hlokks posts most informative and an all in all great read. i also saw just up the page that someone has refered to hlokk as "tills trainee" from what i have always gathered i think it might be the other way around . hlokk definatly seems to know his stuff better than most . keep it up mate
