Does anybody know if the Hill River mouth is accesible by 2wd car part way and tinny the rest, or am i dreaming?

you cant launch a tinny anywhere near it, the so called boat launch area is a 45 degree angle soft sand dune over 40mtrs long, I have seen a few 4x4's get stuck trying to get off the beach there (without a boat) Best bet is from Cervantes and wait a few months until it's worth the hassle.

You can get close to Hill
You can get close to Hill River in the car - right up to the beach about 500m away as there is a gravel track - however there is no way to launch the tinny.

I would not eat any fish
I would not eat any fish from that river. The water has a colour best described as rust. I don't think the mouth get flushed very often.
