I have a glass boat but I put one of those foam square clip together mats you get from Kmart at my helm. Makes the long drives less fatiguing.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

I put soft Eva mat then carpeted it and it works a treat, takes the stress away form the feet, knees and back.
Went with a yoga type material from Clarke rubber. Bout $50 to do the driver and passenger sides. held up well over the last few years.

boat mats
I use these on my boat, they are super comfortable under foot and save your back on a long run. The picture layer on top is only a thin piece of lycra type material that peels off after about 3 months so it ends up a white mat.
This set I'm on are about 2 years old and live in the boat, they will need replacing soon as they mat material starts to break down.

I second the yoga mat. I had intended to glue some down on top of my carpet and put some carpet ontop of it to blend in.
